This is the hottest thing right now. Every single day I see a new way to use Coconut Oil. We did abloga few weeks ago with the best products you can buy at your local grocery store and this one was our favorite. So we dug a little deeper for some of its best uses in your beauty routine:
Hair Mask- Warm the jar of coconut oil under the shower so that it turns to liquid, and then add generously to your already shampooed hair. Allow this to soak into your hair for around 3-5 minutes. This will instantly add moisture and shine.Body Oil- Coconut Oil comes in solid form and will warm up with your body heat. It is the perfect light moisturizer to slather all over! If you want to use this as massage oil, just add some Lavender or Peppermint Essential Oils.Lip Balm- Scoop some of this oil into a store bought contact case for an easy, natural lip balm at your fingertips.Cuticle Softener- If you constantly have cracking/peeling cuticles, use that same contact case you filled for the lip balm and rub some of this wonder oil on your finger tips to keep your cuticles and nails hydrated.Under Eye Cream- Are you just not in a place to purchase expensive eye creams? Coconut oil to the rescue. Warm some of this between your fingertips, and then gently dab it under your eyes to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles.Fight Frizz- Is it as humid where you live as it is for us in South Louisiana? If so, you are probably constantly fighting frizzy fly-aways. Melt a pea sized amount in your palms and then gently run through your hair. Voila!Makeup Remover- Massage a dollop of warm liquefied Coconut Oil straight onto skin and watch as your makeup literally melts away. Rinse with warm water. You can also make, homemade remover pads using a teaspoon of melted oil per cotton pad, soak and let dry and store in a dry container.Body Scrub- Mix this yummy smelling oil with some sea salt and you have your own homemade body scrub. Add your favorite essential oils for smell.Shaving Cream- Skip those expensive creams in the aerosol cans. Use coconut oil instead. We recommend in the bathtub as it can get pretty slippery in the shower. Trust us… we tried it! It moisturizes for a super close shave.
These are some of our favorite uses for Coconut Oil in our beauty routines. What are yours?
