FINDING BEAUTY IN THE GROCERY AISLES

Here at Kismet, we are all about putting the most natural and healthy ingredients into our products, and we make sure to leave out ingredients that are believed to be harmful to you. So we love when we can add simple grocery store finds to our beauty routine, here is a list of some of the best things you can purchase at the local grocery to aid in a more natural beauty routine:
• Our favorite all natural product to use in your beauty routine right now is Coconut Oil. Seriously this stuff can be used in like a million ways, but we do have a few favorites. You can use to remove makeup up. Just apply it to your face and swipe off everything you’ve applied that day. You can replace all those expensive lotions beneath your bathroom cabinet and use this miracle oil as a full body moisturizer. You can also replace those expensive shaving creams and use this to get a super close shave, because it also helps to prevent razor burn.
• Green Tea. This product can do everything from soothing a sunburn to removing brassy tones from your hair. You heard that right! Rinsing your hair with chilled green tea can remove the brassiness sometimes left behind by color treatments and leave you with silky smooth strands! Just rinse for 10 minutes with cold green tea and then condition your hair as your normally would.
• Sea Salt. Everyone knows about sugar scrubs, but not many know that Sea Salt is full of minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium. These work together to hydrate your dry, blothchy, dull skin. When mixed with the number one item on our list, coconut oil, it can be used as a natural exfoliant.
• Cucumbers. This wonder veggie is full of water and is known to have anti-inflammation qualities. It is no accident that you often see cucumber slices placed on the eyes! They really do reduce swelling! Try this trick in the morning after a late night on the town!
Good healthy products for your skin and hair are no further than your grocery store aisle. While beauty products are endless and the next best thing is just around the corner, sometimes it’s best to just get back to the basics with these simple tricks.
